    Just My Opinion:

While I'm not completely ready to switch my cell phone for a smartphone, the Treo 700w certainly does sound appealing. The fact it is operating Windows Mobile is the biggest factor that would affect my decision. This makes it much easier to integrate my workflow and not worry about program compatibility.

Having the ability to create documents or just to view from them any location will certainly be a benefit appreciated by many mobile professionals.

The software which comes pre-loaded and available on the CD do enhance the appeal factor. The integrated digital camera can certainly be useful for mobile professionals, especially those in Real Estate or Insurance.

I do like the size aspect of the Palm Treo 700w, it's got a nice solid look to it. If I'm going to use a screen or keyboard that size, I don't want to worry about breaking the gadget at the same time.

It has been interesting reading people's opinions on the Treo 700w prior to its release. Many folks felt it was a sign of the end of the Palm operating system, some had more severe feelings and it's really amazing how one gadget can affect people so strongly.

I think creating a Palm Treo with the Windows Mobile operating system was a smart decision and will enable professionals to work more productively with their gadgets.

The downside to the Palm Treo 700w at this point is it only available in the United States and you do have to get a service plan through Verizon Wireless.

I'll be watching for and interested in learning the experiences owners of the Palm Treo 700w have with their new smartphone. I'm not quite ready to go with a smartphone yet, but offerings such as the Palm Treo 700w are making it more appealing to consider.
