Guide Review - Kensington Notebook Dock with Adjustable Base
The Notebook Dock with Adjustable Base from Kensington builds upon and expands the unique design of the original Laptop Desktop. The Notebook Dock is improved with a removable dock which attaches easily to the rear of the base, and can also be used on it's own when traveling.
Included with the Notebook Dock is a hand chart that you use to determine the correct ergonomic position for the base. The adjustment control is on the right side of the base and requires that you push in and turn until you match the colour from the SmartFit chart.
Both the detachable dock and base include handle/support which makes it easy for moving. It does take a bit of time to get used to adjusting the base but once you know the correct colour, it's quick and easy.
The base, when closed to the tightest adjustment is compact enough that it could be packed for travel. While not ideal to take on short trips, it can come in handy on long trips when you will be sharing office space or using a telwork centre.
I liked the improved ability to use more external peripherals with the Notebook Dock and how easy it was to increse the number of available USB ports, the Dock includes 3 USB ports.
Mobile professionals who are looking for an ergonomic advantage to using more peripherals with their laptop, and improving productivity will find the Notebook Dock and Adjustable Base a very handy laptop accessory.
