I did find the small size of the laptop desk surface limiting as I quite often use an external mouse and there is no room to use as a mousing surface. I was also a little concerned that my laptop (which is an older model) might generate too much heat and melt the surface, if I used it for a long period of time. It includes a warning advising users not to leave a laptop running on the surface of the laptop desk. I really didn't want to leave my laptop on and see if it would melt the surface.
