The first feature to be aware of with this laptop stand is that it is heavy - it not intended nor would it be advisable to use when traveling. It is ideally suited for desktop use in a home office and helps you create a more ergonomic work environment in your home office.
The roller skate wheels are the next feature which makes this laptop stand different from others available. The laptop wheels move smoothly - no matter the weight of your laptop. I used the laptop stand with ultraportable and desktop replacement weight laptops. All were held securely in place due to the well placed "landing strips", which are put in a horseshoe layout on the top of the laptop stand.
I really like how strong and easy it was to move this laptop stand even with a laptop on it. The roller skate wheels move very smoothly but you should note that if you are not on a level surface the wheels may slide.
When using this laptop stand be careful to ensure that any cords or wires are arranged neatly and won't interfere with the movement of the laptop stand.
Positioning the laptop stand so that it sat over the edge of my desk made it much easier to use the keyboard and was noticeably more comfortable than using the laptop on top of the desk alone. The display is at an ideal height for viewing. If your desk has a curved rather than straight front, this laptop stand will still work.
