Guide Review - BlueAnt Z9i Bluetooth Headset
I admit I'm not the biggest fan of Bluetooth headsets and the reasons are many just don't fit comfortably, I always have the feeling it's falling off and that I'll lose the unit. I also wear glasses 85% of the time and the arms of my glasses can interfere with the fit of the headset.
BlueAnt has me reconsidering using a Bluetooth headset on a regular basis. Their Z9i Bluetooth headset is very lightweight and the ear hooks are adjustable and you get two different sized ones with the headset. The smaller ear hooks fit great and didn't slide even with my glasses on.
Pairing my phone and the headset was quick and easily accomplished. Instructions are included and are worded in plain English so very easy to follow.
Sound quality is very good and with the capability of adjusting the voice isolation you should have no problems hearing no matter how much noise there is in the background. The Z9i has two microphones which provides better sound and makes it easier for the person on the other end to hear you.
Another beneficial feature of the Z9i is that it will use different ringtones. If the contact is in your cell phone already then the ringtone will be different than an unknown contact calling you.
To answer you just press the end of the headset, gentle pressure is all that is required. To disconnect press again.
There will be times when you know you don't need the headset at your ear all the time and BlueAnt have integrated a clip which can be attached to a tie or inside a pocket when not needed.
The included USB cable is used for updating the firmware on the headset through your computer.
I also like that I can have more than one phone connected at the same time, so if you have a cell phone for personal use and one for business use you don't need to switch headsets or change settings.
