Laptop Mode
Using the T3010 in laptop mode was really not too different from using any other laptop. The small keyboard suited me just fine, but for people with bigger hands and accustomed to desktop keyboards, it could be frustrating.
An option to using the keyboard was using the pen directly on screen. This did take some time getting used to as the pen includes two buttons and I did on occassion click the buttons when I really didn't want to.
The display which is optimized for indoor viewing was grainy when used outdoors. Something to keep in mind while traveling. If you can control your surroundings or ensure you out of direct sunlight, there should be no problems viewing the display.
Tablet Mode

Using the Tablet mode provided the most benefits but it too required some adapting. When using the T3010 in laptop mode, it's hard to get used to the idea of actually resting your hand on the screen while writing. It's a good idea to practice using the tablet mode before you attend meetings or need to create important documents.
The display automatically orients itself when you convert to Tablet mode and you don't have to make any adjustments manually. It's quick and easy to get working.
Connections
The integrated Wi-Fi was easy to use and I established connections with no effort. There is a manual switch for the Wi-Fi which is really great for mobile workers as you don't always need to have Wi-Fi enabled, nor should you. Once the Wi-Fi is enabled it picks up any available networks and you enter the connection information just once.
Using the Ethernet connection was also painless and accomplished quickly. You don't have to configure anything and only require your login userid and password.
With the ease of connecting and the methods available, the T3010 is a good solution for mobile workers.
Additional Options
The review unit I received included a Port Replicator. This was handy as it allowed me access to my desktop peripherals such as my printer and scanner. The Port Replicator can be attached quickly and easily, you don't have to shut-down first. The T3010 comes with a special software utility that allows the system to remember the display settings. This is a real time saver for mobile workers.
External mice, monitors or other media devices can be connected. The Replicator includes a LAN RJ-45 jack, two USB 2.0 ports, an external monitor port - dual monitor usage is possible or just use your desktop monitor alone and a DC power jack. You can use the power jack with the supplied adapter or an optional Auto/Airline adapter.
I also received an external DVD-CD R/W. It connected via USB and included it's own power cable. The DVD-CD R/W drive connected easily and software was included to view DVDs.
Another optional accessory from Fujitsu is an external floppy disk drive.
