StickNFind Bluetooth stickersHere's an ingenious solution to the common problem of things always getting lost: Ultra-small stickers that use Bluetooth wireless technology to track any object, person, or animal with your iPhone or Android device. About the size of a quarter and 0.16 inches thin, the Stick-N-Find stickers also have a buzzer and light so you can find your stuff in the dark.

I know this sounds like a weird TV infomercial, but as someone who's constantly hunting for my glasses and calling my own phone to locate it under the cushions, this system could save a lot of stress--particularly if you tag pets, children, and expensive items like your laptop. Stick-N-Find's smartphone app shows your tagged stuff on a radar screen and also has a "virtual leash" that alarms you if something goes outside of your desired range. A new task launcher app lets you change your phone's settings simply by entering a certain location where you've placed the tags.

Stick-N-Find is being funded on Indiegogo. They had an initial campaign goal of $70,000 and at the time of this writing have generated more than $462,000--so a lot of people are really interested in this sort of location-tracking feature. I'm one of them; this is the first crowd-funded campaign I've contributed to.

If you contribute to the campaign before it's over on January 14, 2013, you'll get a discount on the stickers, which will be delivered in March. 2 stickers are $35 (but will sell for $49.95 at retail); 4 stickers are $65 ($89.95 at retail).
