Laptop Bag
My Review
Skooba Seventeen in Red/Black
When I got my Macbook Pro several years ago, I wanted a nice bag that would fit it and protect it well. I requested this bag as a birthday gift and it has outlasted the Mac, which is no longer portable with a dead screen. I now use it with a wide-screen Asus laptop.
The bag is sturdy and well made, holds a ton, and is very comfortable to carry on the shoulder, even when loaded down. And, believe me, you can load this baby up. I like the inner padded laptop compartment that has cushions and zippers to keep the laptop secure and safe, plus an adjustable buckled strap. This bag is also big enough to carry a graphics tablet, my folding laptop stand, and a full size mouse, along with the usual power cords, etc.
It has a strap so you can slide it over the handle of your rolling luggage and not worry about it sliding off if it gets bumped. There are outer compartments for papers and a water bottle and easy access to pens, keys, business cards and so on. It has both a handle and a shoulder strap with some kind of bungee cord contraption that is supposed to make it more comfortable.
Occasionally the zipper snags on the mesh inside one of the compartments, but that is the only negative thing I can think of to say about this bag.
The red color is perhaps a little flashy for a laptop bag, but it is my favorite color, so I went for it. It does come in other colors if you prefer something less eye-catching.
