Internet Cafe Directories: Find Cybercafe and Internet Kiosk Locations

Get Internet access while traveling without needing to bring a computer

By , About.com Guide

Internet cafes (a.k.a. net cafes and cybercafes) are great for quick on-the-run Internet access, especially when traveling. The resources below can help you find a cybercafe or public Internet access point by location. There are thousands of cybercafes around the world in these databases.

Note: Call or visit the Internet cafe's website before traveling there to get rates and to make sure the service is still available.

The Cybercafe Search Engine

This search engine contains over 5,000 verified public Internet access points and cybercafes in 160 countries. You can search by city, state, or country and get back a list with address, phone number, website, and email address contact information. The Cybercafe Search Engine also provides information on how to start your own cybercafe, Internet cafes on cruise ships, and public Internet access points and kiosks.

Cybercafes.com

Cybercafes.com contains a database of over 4,000 Internet cafes in more than 140 countries. You can search by clicking on the map or search by city and filter the number of results. Though this site has slightly fewer Internet cafes in the directory, the search results include useful information like prices, hours of operations, and facility descriptions (how many computers are available, if there are printers and scanners, whether food and drinks can be purchased, etc.).

Internet Kiosks on Google Maps

Kiosks are free-standing workstations for Internet access, usually found in hotels, airports, and malls. A search for "internet kiosks" on Google Maps brings up over 1 million results. Though many of these are internet kiosk businesses, the results descriptions can show you which specific hotel or other public locations have Internet kiosks available. Further refine the Google Maps search results to find a kiosk location near you.
