Overview:
Zoho offers a variety of online applications that can be used by mobile professionals; Pricing information is listed but you must contact the company by email for more detailed information on the business/corporate pricing.
The programs also offer the user the ability to download their data in a variety of formats. Each program has its own blog and forum for updates and how to use the programs. In order to use most of the programs there no downloads are required. You can download different plug-ins for increased functionality but they are not required.
Security:
Zoho uses not only software security measures but the hardware is kept in secure locations. There is not just one server in one location. Zoho are working on creating a method for encrypting data.
Support for Mobile Devices:
There are applications which work with the iPhone and Zoho Creator works on some mobile devices. More work is being done in this regard.
Applications Included:
Zoho CRM – includes an Outlook plug-in so you don’t have to change email programs, sales and marketing tools, inventory management, customer support.
Zoho Business – email hosting, messaging, document management, calendar, domain and portal creation, can use other Zoho programs within this service.
Zoho Projects – everything you need to manage work projects.
Zoho Docs – online file storage, collaboration for files, works with Zoho Writer, Sheet and Show.
Zoho Invoice – online invoicing, quotes, invoices can be automated.
Zoho Creator – database solution.
Zoho Meeting – online meeting program.
Zoho People – human resources applications.
Zoho Wiki – keep everyone updated and on the same page.
Writer, Sheet, Show and Chat – word processing, spreadsheet, presentations. Documents can be created offline, uploaded and downloaded in a variety of formats.
Zoho Notebook – this application enables you to embed a wide variety of data into a notebook, which can be shared and worked on by others. You can include video, audio, files and graphics.
Just My Thoughts:
I like that this set of applications can be used from any location and from any computer. You don't need to worry about Mac or PC compatibility issues or ensuring that everyone has the same software programs to open files.
