Guide Review - RealVNC Remote Access Software Review

Having access to files and programs on either an office or home computer is essential for mobile workers. Getting that access isn't always easy but RealVNC remote access software provides mobile workers with an easy and free program for remote access.

I was able to download and install RealVNC on both my desktop and laptop computers within minutes and have the program running shortly thereafter. The ability to access not only data files but programs on the server machine is a real advantage for mobile workers using remote access software. It means a mobile worker doesn't have to install copies of programs or keep duplicate copies of files on their laptop when traveling.

I tested RealVNC from a variety of locations and had no problems connecting to my home office desktop. I was able to use all programs and access all data files.

RealVNC is a great remote access software program for mobile workers to use. Mobile workers looking for a free and easy to use remote access software program should definitely try RealVNC.

Other Remote Control Software, Member Nedenchase

Hi, Thanks for posting. Real VNC player is not bad for this purpose. There are other, similar kinds of software that are free (such as Crossloop, among others) and ones that you do have to pay for (GoToMyPC, etc.). What usually never gets mentioned is that there are essentially two categories of this kind of software: individual and enterprise level. The individual ones are often free and usually quite capable, however they are often prone to security threats. The enterprise suites are much more secure and have great functionality - which means that you have to learn them a little bit better. My personal favorite enterprise level software is Proxy Pro 6 by Proxy Networks. As far as remote control software goes, especially for business it is the best hands down. The allow you to do some pretty neat stuff like look at the hardware list of the computer that you're controlling. This saves a lot of time when you are troubleshooting, etc.
