Guide Review - Imation Flash Wristband
If you want a unique way to carry data and not worry about locating the flash drive while traveling, the Imation Flash Wristband is a great option for mobile professionals.
It's very sturdy and was designed to be worn by men or women. You can even attach it to a laptop case if you don't want to wear it. The fastening is quite strong and it does take some effort to release it to access the drive. The fastening is a friction fit locking band. While personally I wouldn't attach it to the exterior of a laptop case, I would feel comfortable connecting it to a key chain loop on the inside.
The Imation Flash Wristbands are available in blue or black with a 256 MB capacity. It's just the right size for traveling with documents or photos between locations.
As it doesn't require any drivers (except for older Operating Systems), it can be used between systems with no hassles. That is very handy for mobile professionals as quite often we are faced with working with both Windows and Mac systems. The Imation Flash Wristband works with both USB 1.0 and USB 2.0.
To use the drive, just pull it apart and there's the USB connection ready to be plugged into an available USB drive. You can drag and drop files to it with ease and not worry about formatting issues.
I found the capacity just the right size for transferring files between computers and quick backups. I think it's a pretty cool idea and definitely worth having one in blue and one in black and why not more?
