Guide Review - Toshiba e830 Pocket PC
I enjoyed reviewing the Toshiba e830 Pocket PC. It is very sturdy and has a real solid feel to it. The integrated Wi-Fi is another strong point.
The included software enabled me to use the e830 Pocket PC as a viable substitute for my laptop; except it was quicker to start up and get working with. Software included is: Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Pocket Internet Explorer, Microsoft® Windows® Media Player 9 for Pocket PC, File Explorer, MSN® Messenger, Microsoft® Transcriber, World Clock, Toshiba Voice Recorder, Toshiba Text to Speech for Pocket PC, Voice Command, Toshiba ConfigFree Software and Toshiba IP Phone for Pocket PC. All these programs provide a complete package for working productively from any location and for users who already use MS programs, there is no learning curve and it's easy to transfer documents between the Pocket PC and your laptop or desktop PC.
The display is a great size especially when working with Word or Excel documents. If accessing the Internet, having the ability to change the orientation of the display is a great advantage. The brightness of the display can be adjusted to suit whatever environment you might be working in, and is easily adjusted using a software program.
I found using the Toshiba e830 Pocket PC a real pleasure to work with and a very useful addition to my mobile gear. With all the functions it provides mobile professionals with a strong and useful tool for staying connected and productive.
