How To Install Your Palm Wi-Fi Card

Ready to use Wi-Fi with your Tungsten T3 or Zire 72? Learn how to install and setup your palmOne Wi-Fi card. Once you are done, you can work from any Hot Spot with your T3 or Zire 72.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15 mins

Here's How:

  1. Install setup files. These files require 4MB of free space but once installed use less than 1MB of RAM.
  2. Hot sync the PRC file to your handheld.
  3. An installer loads the drivers and resets the unit.
  4. After you have setup the card, you can connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Tips:

  1. Once installed, the Wi-Fi software is permanently loaded on your handheld.
  2. Set-up and control can be done via the Preferences Panel or Wi-Fi setup application.
  3. A Wi-Fi strength indicator is added to the Command Bar to show strength of a Wi-Fi signal and is a shortcut to Wi-Fi preferences.
  4. The Wi-Fi setup searches out available networks and will display any networks it finds. It will indicate if an Access Point is encrypted or not. Manual Wi-Fi connections can also be made.
  5. This Wi-Fi card can be used with WEP encryption and accepts 40 and 104 bit keys.
