Guide Review - Canon i80 Mobile Printer
The Canon i80 mobile printer I reviewed really impressed me with the quality of the output. For text only documents the quality matched that of my laser printer. Text was crisp and there was no shadowing visible, as sometimes happens with ink jet printers. I was really amazed at the amount of detail the printer captured when printing photos. It captured the pattern in a wooden chair.
Mobile workers requiring a mobile printer to provide them with high quality photos or streak free transparencies will not be disappointed.
I did not receive the Portable Kit to allow me to print completely wireless, I was able to print using the IrDA port from my laptop and was able to achieve a distance of almost 10 feet before the signal was not received. The optional Bluetooth interface would enable printing from other mobile devices as well as from a greater distance.
Direct photo printing makes it easy for mobile workers to carry less gear while on a job site, as they won't need their laptop. Direct photo printing also provides mobile workers with the ability to take more pictures and not worry about downloading them to a laptop then using another program to print from.
This mobile printer is lightweight enough to easily be carried in my laptop carrying case along with my laptop and sets up quickly when needed. The included software was an added benefit and made printing photos that much easier.
This mobile printer is an excellent addition to any mobile workers list of gear.
