The Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro includes software which makes it easy to get up and running. The major complaint I have with this web camera and it seems that other users have as well is that the mounting system is not the best. It took me more time to get the web camera positioned and seated securely than installing the software and getting the web cam ready to use.
A spring-loaded clip would make for a better and more secure method to attach this web camera to a laptop. Even the slightest movement was enough to knock the web camera out of position.
Once you do have the web camera positioned as securely as possible, the web camera does have some great features. First and foremost is the picture quality. It provides a very clear picture and can be focused using the O-ring on the camera if you need to focus more clearly.
Another great feature is that this web camera can be used with both Mac and Windows based laptops which means if you use a variety of laptops while traveling, you just need this one web camera.
The Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Pro Notebook Web Cam can also be used to take still pictures, which can be handy for a variety of mobile professionals. The USB cable is short and if you decide to hold the camera to take still photos, investing in a USB extension cable is a wise idea.
Overall, this is a really good web camera and mobile professionals will find it a smart investment as part of their mobile gear arsenal.
