Guide Review - LG LM50a XNote

The LG LM50a XNote I received for review had a 40GB hard drive and Windows XP Pro operating system. I was very pleased with how bright and crisp the display is. Whether working on documents or viewing web sites, I had no problems.

The Wi-Fi connection strength was always strong and reliable. I didn't suffer from any disconnect problems while working and that is one reason I favour the Intel Pro/Wireless card in a laptop.

I found the battery life to be quite good and was able to use the laptop for over 4 hours with a fully charged battery. If I had the optional 9 cell battery, I'm quite sure I could get a full 8 hours of work from the laptop without worrying about a re-charge.

Another element that I really liked with the LG LM50a XNote was the placement of the USB ports. Most laptops have them placed to the rear of one side and that isn't always convenient. The LG LM50 though has 1 USB port situated on the right rear and the other 2 are located on the left towards the front. If you choose to use an external keyboard and mouse, that USB placement is very beneficial.

The final element that I really liked and it relates to my left-handedness is the placement of the touchpad. It is set off-centre and to the left which makes it very comfortable for a lefty to use.

The LG LM50a is ideal for those in Real Estate, Financial or Legal fields.
