Guide Review - Fujitsu LifeBook P7010D
I was quite curious about the LifeBook P7010D and the fact it employed fingerprint recognition. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the notebook and is located between the mouse buttons. It's easy to access and I liked the fact it wasn't really obvious what it was. That helps ensure security and makes it more difficult for someone to gain unauthorized access. Setting up the fingerprint recognition wasn't long and drawn out. You can also set up more than just one finger to be recognized, which is handy.
The size of the P7010D is another attraction for me. I had no problems fitting it into my notebook case and using it anywhere I needed. It doesn't take up very much table space which is especially handy when using a hot spot and even using it my vehicle was not a problem.
The P7010D came with Windows XP Pro Edition, MS Works XP, Record Now software, phone cord and Weight saver module. I had no problem at all with the weight of the laptop with the optical drive in.
While I didn't experience the battery life quoted by the Manufacturer, I was using the Wi-Fi and running multiple programs at once. I did keep track and from a fully charged battery I did get just over 4 hours, which was quite acceptable, given the work I was doing.
This is an ideal notebook computer for mobile professionals who work in the Legal industry, Real Estate or Executive positions.
