Guide Review - Attaché Laptop Stand
The Attaché Laptop Stand is one of the latest additions to the LapWorks line of laptop stands. It is very stylish looking and has the added bonus of USB ports and cooling fans. There is one laptop port at the top left side and the other three are at the back. This is very useful for using external peripherals or storage devices. You don't have to worry about carrying along an external USB hub.
It also includes a USB cable to connect to your laptop to run the fans. Once you have connected your laptop, the fans run smoothly and quietly. It will be very easy to keep the fans clean as you can blow compressed air from the top or bottom to ensure they are always clean. They are good sized fans too, so you don’t have to worry that your laptop will overheat.
The documentation states that there are four heights for adjustment but you can use the Attaché Laptop Stand without adjusting the support arm when you may be working in tight quarters. This does create a fifth position to work with. When the support arm is not in use the Attaché Laptop Stand does not sit completely flat but is still compact to fit easily into a laptop bag. There is a curve to the top surface which allows your laptop to have room between it’s bottom and the fans on the Attaché Laptop Stand. The ridge for the support arm on the rear of the Attaché Laptop Stand allows air to circulate from the fans.
The Attaché Laptop Stand is very well designed and one of the best features is that it has two fold out supports on the lower edge of the front side to hold your laptop in place and prevent it from slipping down even when the support arms are at the highest position. These supports are very sturdy and supported even my old beast of a desktop replacement laptop. The supports have rubberized textured pads to keep your laptop secure and are wide enough for any sized laptop.
