The purpose of a laptop sleeve is to give your laptop protection and provide a lighter way to carry your laptop if you don't need to worry about carrying additional accessories.
The biggest issue I've had with many of the laptop sleeves I've seen in stores is they are rather flimsy and they are a little light on the padding. Remember the zippered nylon book bags? Some aren't very different than those other than price.
If you are going to pay more money you definitely want a laptop sleeve that will provide substantial protection for your laptop. The Cricket laptop sleeve is very well padded and has a water resistant exterior which is even more protection for your laptop. The laptop sleeve is very lightweight and easy to carry. I found it fit well in a variety of laptop bags from backpack to briefcase style and it's a nice option to be able to use it in other laptop bags. Of course, it fits nicely in the other styles of Lexie Barnes laptop bags.
Another nice feature of the Cricket laptop sleeve is that it has a lid that can be securely closed. My laptop slid in and out quite easily but wasn't jostling around when I was walking with it.
I wouldn't mind the addition of clips to add a shoulder strap or a carrying handle. The clips could even be useful for securing the Cricket laptop sleeve inside another laptop bag for improved security.
The prints available are very bright and colourful. The most definitely have character and style.
If you tend to travel light or want the option to travel lightly in the future - investing in a laptop sleeve like the Cricket will make that task much easier. Plus you are providing great protection for your laptop in the Cricket laptop sleeve.
