The IOGear Mobile Professional kit has the essential gear that you need to stay connected and take advantage of other mobile peripherals while on the road.
The optical mouse is very compact but it's a sturdy mouse and it can be adjusted to suit your style for sensitivity. I had no problems using the mouse. It doesn't require any additional software to run. The mouse is the perfect size for using on small surfaces such as a lapdesk or airplane tray. You don't need a lot of movement or space to operate it well. Even though the mouse is small, it is very sturdy and well built. It's great for those who travel frequently and want to have a mouse available.
The USB hub is very handy, especially if your laptop is like mine and only has one USB port available. I had no problems running external hard drives, the mouse and my Wi-Fi adapter from the USB hub. I was able to tuck the hub out of the way so it didn't take up any additional space, yet was still usable and accessible. Some mobile professionals might feel that the USB 1.1 standard is too slow but I had no problems even when using USB 2.0 peripherals.
Having compact Ethernet and RJ11 cables is always a bonus. You never know when the cable in a hotel room won't be long enough or in an awkward location. When visiting other offices or working from your home office, the cables come in handy to connect your laptop.
The IOGear Mobile Professional kit is definitely mobile gear that should be in your laptop case while on the road.
