I was pleased but not surprised by how light and yet durable the Laptop Desk UltraLite is. It's construction alone is a major factor for mobile workers to consider when purchasing a laptop desk. The strength of the construction ensures that no matter what bumping and jostling your laptop carrying case experiences, the laptop desk will not be damaged.
The UltraLite is longer than the Laptop Desk v2.0 when unfolded and provides ample space for using a mouse. Used in the unfolded position on your lap, you have a stable surface for using a laptop or Tablet PC. I found when using a Tablet PC it made it much easier to use and maintain a comfortable position especially using the Tablet PC in portrait mode.
The non-skid rubber pads keep a laptop or Tablet PC in position and prevents the mobile gear from sliding away which is a great benefit when using the UltraLite while traveling.
Using the Laptop Desk as a desktop stand means no longer straining to see as there are five different ergonomic angles which to use. The UltraLite can also be used with PDA's and external keyboards. It is easy to arrange and the wire guideforms lock into place securely and there is no fear that the UltraLite will collapse.
When you know that workspace is limited or non-existant, using the UltraLite to prevent lap burn is an ideal solution and it's economical price makes it a great solution for mobile workers.
