Description
Guide Review - Matrox DualHead2GoIve become very spoiled with my desktop setup and using two monitors. When using my laptop, it would be so much easier to use multiple displays. Until now options for using multiple displays for laptops have involved software or using a second monitor with the built-in capabilities of Windows XP.
That works fine but using the Matrox DualHead2Go enables you to connect two monitors which dramatically increases viewing area and workspace. The review unit I received was quite easy to set up. I do wish the instruction sheet was not tucked away with the CD as I missed seeing it initially and had to go searching for it. Make sure you do read the instruction sheet first as it outlines the order for setting up the DualHead2Go adapter. The laptop display properties must be adjusted to 1024 x 768 before you can start connecting additional monitors. Remember to arrange the monitors in the display properties in the same position as they are physically located. If you dont make that change, you will wonder why you dont see your cursor in the new display area. You can have the additional monitors set to contain one image or document or for each to contain a document or web page. I found that incredibly useful especially when doing research. You can even take advantage of the additional monitors and keep your laptop closed. An external mouse and keyboard are needed to use this feature. This is an laptop accessory I enjoyed using and I do recommend it to mobile professionals. |
