A Number of Vyew Plugins

Vyew’s various plugins definitely help set it apart from other web conferencing tools. Some of the plugins are: a diagramming tool, the ability to hyperlink between meeting rooms, a graphing calculator, a quiz and poll function and even a deck of cards that users can play with.

But there were two plugins that stood out for me, and they were the ones that allow for sharing an MP3 file, and uploading a YouTube video into the meeting room. Videos and MP3s are synced, so they will play for all in the meeting room. To me, this seemed better than sharing video via screen sharing, as there were no image delays and video quality remained high. As for the MP3s, sharing them through the meeting room is useful because attendees don’t have to download the files themselves, so preparing for the meeting is faster.

The plugins let meeting hosts become really creative when planning their meetings, allowing for the best possible results. Another great thing about Vyew is that they’re always open to suggestions when it comes to developing new plugins.

A Complete Web Conferencing Solution

Vyew

Vyew is an incredibly features-rich tool, that not only allows for interactive web conferencing, but also supports online collaboration. The one downside to this, is that it is a very complex tool that takes time to learn how to use. This is why I don’t recommend it for those who have never hosted a web meeting before, as it could prove confusing and frustrating. If you are a beginner, but would like a number of features available to you, I would recommend GoToMeeting or Freebinar as appropriate choices. However, if you feel comfortable with hosting online meetings and would like one of the most advanced tools around, I would strongly suggest you give Vyew a try.
