Mobile Office Services Available at Logan Airport

Name and Location: Logan International Airport, Boston.

Where You Can Connect: Terminals A, B, C and E.

What Type of Internet Access is Available: Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) in Terminals A, B, C and E. Computer kiosks in Terminal E.

What Does it Cost: Twenty-four hours of Internet Media Group (IMG) Wi-Fi access in Terminals A, B, C or E: $7.95.

Service Providers: IMG provides access in all terminals. Verizon is an additional provider available in Terminal A.

Other Services Available: One full month's access to Logan Wi-Fi services can be purchased via Boingo, a company that charges consumers a single monthly fee for access to hotspots worldwide. Boingo is Logan's official roaming partner and charges $21.95 a month for its service.

Notes: T-Mobile once offered Wi-Fi access in Terminal B, but Massport (Massachusetts Port Authority), the operator of Logan International Airport, threatened the company with legal action. While T-Mobile backed down, Continental Airlines, which offers free Wi-Fi in its frequent flier Presidents Club lounge, fought a 17-month case against Massport. At the conclusion of the case, the Federal Communications Commission allowed Continental to continue offering free Wi-Fi in its Presidents Club.
