Bringing your mobile gear into Canada

Canadian Customs allows mobile office professionals to bring certain business-related gear into Canada as personal baggage and it is not subject to restrictions provided that you declare it when entering Canada.

The mobile gear which includes laptops, cell phones, voice recorders and PDA's must be for your own use while doing business and will be considered duty and tax-free.

FRS (family radio services) are not allowed to be operated in Canada if brought in from another country.
