Definition: WPA is an acronym for Wi-Fi Protected Access. It is a security protocol for 802.11 wireless networks. WPA can provide data protection with the use of encryption and the use of access controls and user authentication.
Examples: WPA can prevent hackers and war drivers from gaining access to wireless networks.
