Definition: Integrated set of chips from Intel for wireless mobile PCs. Includes the Pentium M processor, 855 chipset family and PRO/Wireless adapter for 802.11b WiFi networking. It also provides enhanced battery life and because it requires less cooling, slimmer cases can be used.
Examples: New laptops made with Centrino technology are smaller and lighter than previous laptops.
