Even if you think your laptop is beyond repair, there's a chance you can still make use of it. This week, I took a look at DIY projects you can do to repurpose a non-functioning laptop.
The projects depend on what's wrong with your laptop--if it's just the screen or keyboard that's broken or something like that. One project lets you turn your laptop into a desktop PC, while another takes the LCD and turns it into a standalone monitor
The last two suggestions are simply to salvage the still-usable parts: the hard drive might work as an external hard drive, for example, and individual parts could be sold to others who need them for repairing their computers.
