Help Another Laptop User

"I had my laptop running for a while, and it was getting hot, when I was moving around I hit it with my hand and it turned off, it wont turn back on, but it starts to run a little and then turns off again. but never turns all the way back on.

Is it broken for good? What do you think happened?"
