The Acer TravleMate 3000 comes with two battery packs (slim-line and high-capacity) as part of its standard bundle. Weighing just 3.1 lb (1.4kg) with just the three-cell battery and no external optical drive this laptop is just the right weight to travel with.
With the Intel® Pentium® M Processor 740 you should have no problems running the programs you want. Making connections will never be a problem with the choice of using Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Wireless PAN, Ethernet LAN or V.92 56kbps data/fax modem. With both batteries installed you’ll get approximately 6.5 hours of operating time which should work for most mobile professionals.
The display is 12.1” WXGA TFT LCD allowing up to 16.7 million colors and optimal resolution of 1280 x 800. It includes support for multiple displays on the laptop and an external monitor. The hard drive is 60GB ATA/100 with optical drives as external components. Floppies are optional and must be ordered.
This is a nice ultra portable laptop that gives you great connection options and will enable you to stay productive and organized while on the road.
